Christine Bienko was born in Toronto to Polish immigrant parents and grew up in Roncesvalles Village. A vibrant, culturally rich community shaped her early sense of identity and belonging.

She has spent most of her professional life teaching and counselling youth with the Toronto District School Board. Her lifelong love of literature continues to inspire her writing. Time Enough is her second book of poetry.
