Time Enough

Life is messy, From the first breath to the last.
To look closely is to be changed.
To look deeply is to discover meaning at the heart of it all.

Meet the Author

Each meaningful moment in my life has been marked by a poem.  The shy young girl growing up, the teenager’s first crush, the wife and mother who embraced equal parts of joy and frustration, the widow who knew grief all too soon, the teacher and counselor who navigated student wonder and angst.  So many incredible moments, each framed with images and words.  Many of them rooted in my Polish Canadian childhood.

Recently, a friend asked me to define poetry.  My former teacher brain gasped, stuck on pause.  From nowhere, a voice surfaced.  Poetry is a jaw dropping sunrise and sunset.  It can be an unnamed piercing pain in the gut.  Or an explosion of brilliance when joy sparks.

Collectively the series of poems I have written are pulled from experiences both real and imagined.  To coax a smile.  To prompt a tear. To amaze, to enlighten, to lift up. The intention at the heart of it all is to offer the reader with a meaningful moment that matters.
